Guide Right Hosts Kappa Akademy Aviation Workshop

The sky was the limit as young minds took flight at the Kappa Akademy Youth Aviation and Drone Workshop, an inspiring event sponsored by the Abington-Ambler (PA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The workshop provided an exciting, hands-on learning experience to introduce students to aviation and drone technology fundamentals.

Held as part of Kappa Akademy’s commitment to youth development and STEM education, and led by guest speaker Eldred (Jay) Bagley, President of Skylark Motions, Inc., the event allowed students to assemble paper airplanes, build model aircraft, and experience the thrill of flying drones. Through interactive activities, participants learned about aerodynamics, flight control, and the real-world applications of drone technology in various industries.

“This workshop is about igniting curiosity and exposing our youth to the possibilities in aviation and STEM,” said Mr. Bagley. “By providing hands-on experiences like this, we hope to inspire the next generation of engineers, pilots, and innovators.”

The event was well received by both students and parents, who praised the engaging approach to learning and the opportunity to interact with technology in a fun, supportive environment. Kappa Akademy organizers are already looking forward to expanding the program in future sessions, incorporating even more advanced drone demonstrations and aviation career discussions.
