Brothers of the Abington - Ambler Alumni Chapter arrived at the Salem Baptist Church of Roslyn to help escort elderly members from the parking lot into the church via walking arm-in-arm and two go-carts.

We were also recruited to help with the Parking Ministry to give guidance to the parking of over 600 cars before the start of service.

During service, our chapter’s presence was acknowledged and work this morning recognized and appreciated. We were warmly welcomed during the “Celebration of Friends” portion of the service.

After service, we - along with other church members - sorted and organized over 1,000 non-perishable food items donated by the Salem Baptist congregation as part of their “First Fruits” Sunday initiative. These items will be delivered to the food pantries of Arcadia University, Temple University, Manor College and Inner Faith Housing Alliance in Roslyn.

This was a great time meaningful work and fellowship. Our presence at Salem Baptist was felt with immediate positive impact. Many members of the congregation were pleased to have us and were shocked to know that we - as a chapter - will be here every 1st Sunday.

Again, this was a great start!
